The Obama administration’s National Space Policy (NSP) is expected to be released soon. It will replace the Bush NSP of 2006.

We’ve posted a shortbackgrounderon the history of US National Space Policies and changes to look for in the Obama policy.

Based on the administration’s public statements, we expect the new policy to signal a return to a more international approach to space; to a more balanced view of civil, commercial and military uses of space; and to a greater openness to arms control and cooperation.
